When the Lord Answers

It's a delightful experience to cry out to God prayer and have Him answer you. I'd like to encourage you to speak with God more often. Isn't that why Christ died on a cross for us anyway? Not only to save us from sin but, to ultimately restore our relationship with God the Father.

I recently prayed to God not for myself but, for my little sister. Since she was born she has been battling physical challenges. She has had four surgeries by the age of four and she has to be catheterized three times a day. I prayed that God would ease her pain and her fear. That he would help my mother be strong through the tough times.

I tell you, almost overnight, he began to make away. My sister has cried less and started smiling more. She is so bright and cheerful. My mother has found relief in the midst of a seemingly never ending storm. God is good.

If you're having a tough time or you are agonizing over the trials and tribulations of a loved one, tell God about it. Ask him to step in. Then and only then will you know for yourself that He is God.

Prayer Changes Things

Over the past few weeks I have been reading a book called "The Hour that Changes the World" by Dick Eastman. I have to tell you this is an soul awakening book. It helps you get reconnected with God, yourself and the ones you love.

How? It instructs you in a very simplicistic way to connect mind, body and soul with God. After two days of praying my personal relationships have grown deeper. I had an abundance of strength and confidence to change some old habits.

More importantly, I gained peace of mind and direction in areas that I didn't even think needed improvement.

Ladies get the book. It will help you learn how to have a more engaging prayer conversation with God. And you will see things begin to happen.

What You Want vs. What You Need

Have you ever thought about what you want and what you need? How are they similar? How do they differ? Do you struggle to get what you want and neglectfully forget about what you need?

Well, these are my questions for today. I know what I want and fortunately it lines up with what I need.

  • I want peace of mind. I need God in my life. He is peace. He is my joy in times of sorrow.
  • I want a nice home. I need God in my life. He is my shelter and my fortress. He hides me in the pavillion of His tabernacle. He is my strong tower. I can run to Him and know that I am safe.
  • I want to be secure. I need God in my life. He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He leads beside the still water. He anoints my head with oil. My cup overflows.
Whatever you want, Gods got it. Whatever you need He will supply. He clothes the flowers of the field and certainly God will provide for His children.
